News — 20 September 2026. Ron Carter and Herbie Hancock will present their duo For Miles at Monterey Jazz Festival in Monterey, USA, on 27 September 2026, on the Jimmy Lyons Stage, celebrating the centenary of Miles Davis. Official festival announcement.
Innovative across a wide range of musical settings—from post-bop and modal jazz to fusion and classical music—Ron Carter has recorded in formats ranging from chamber-jazz nonets and intimate trios to progressive quartets and large big bands.
Available on tour in August, September, October and November 2026, and again in 2027.
Ron Carter explores his jazz-gospel roots on Sweet, Sweet Spirit, a deeply personal project featuring choirmaster Ricky Dillard. He also appears alongside Diana Krall in the film Ron and Diana – Together, now available on demand.
